Death Cafe

  • The Hearth 16 Lonsdale Road London, England, NW6 6RD United Kingdom (map)

Tickets: General Admission by donation

Have you ever felt alone with thoughts around death and wanted to explore this topic with open-minded people?

Good Mourning Projects and the Hearth are running a Death Café, which is a group directed discussion where people can talk about death, find meaning, ask questions and reflect on what’s important. We will welcome you to the space with cake, tea, warmth, and curiosity.

Good Mourning Projects aims to create a space where you can acknowledge life, what you have lost, and everything in-between. Death and grief often remain overlooked, shrouded in uncertainty and fear. The reality is that death makes life whole. We have created an experiential project with various entry points where you can contemplate your relationship with death.

Programme

  • Doors open and drinks @6:30- 7:00

  • Death Cafe @ 7:00-8:30

  • Drinks and mingling @8:30

About Good Mourning Projects

The space will be facilitated by Rebecca and Cassandra, a death doula and a trainee psychotherapist who works as a bereavement counsellor in a hospice. We are a partnership founded in a shared belief in the importance of talking about dying. Good Mourning Projects was created to give people a space to welcome death in and explore it's meanings and manifestations.
