About This Event

Inclusive meetings create a safe space where everybody feels comfortable and empowered to take part. When you run an inclusive meeting, you'll get more diverse opinions, which usually leads to better outcomes.

Early in my career I dreaded attending meetings, I felt pressure to say something but was fearful of saying the wrong thing. I thought there was something wrong with me, but it wasn’t until years later that I realised my anxiety was due to the way meetings were being lead and they weren’t conducive to making me feel at ease or relaxed enough to contribute confidently.

I will talk about ways of fostering psychological safety, how to bring everyone at your meeting into alignment and how to manage interruptions. I will discuss how you can advocate for less confident attendees as well as the benefits of building your agenda collaboratively and ways of getting everyone to contribute comfortably.

Liz Jimenez

I project manage the delivery of websites and apps which means I work with diverse groups of people. I facilitate collaborative ways of working, enabling teams to work together and collectively produce their best work. I do this by promoting open communication through guiding and managing group discussions and activities.

Over the past 12 years I’ve worked with teams to deliver digital products for big brand names such Procter & Gamble, Mars Petcare, Medivet, Oxford University Press and NHS. I work closely with clients enabling them to convey their vision for a product or service and supporting teams to identify solutions and making informed decisions.
