About This Session
The Hearth's Book Club is finally launching! Join us every 2 months to dive into the world of feminist dystopian literature. We will explore thought-provoking stories where women navigate challenging societies. From old classics to modern gems, we will provide an open and welcoming space for literary and social commentary.
Following on from Naomi Alderman’s ‘The Power’, our second book will be Margaret Atwood’s ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’. Set in a near-future New England in a patriarchal, totalitarian state, the story looks at the subjugation of women in an age of declining births. The session will take place on the 4th of June at the Hearth from 6 till 8. Tea will be provided and wine is available!
Free for The Hearth Members, £5 for non-members (includes tea).
