Menopause Circle

  • The Hearth 16 Lonsdale Road London, England, NW6 6RD United Kingdom (map)

Tickets: By donation only

About The Event

This circle is a safe and supportive space for women to navigate menopause and perimenopause. It is a place to share experiences, anxieties and knowledge about menopause and perimenopause. As an understudied and unspoken issue, The Hearth in partnership with Karin Thyselius, founder of NW8-mums, are trying to remedy the lack of representation menopause receives. This monthly event hopes to remove the stigma and uncertainty around menopause and perimenopause, and be a space for women to connect and build a community.

The Menopause Circle is run on a donation basis, with all contributions helping to cover the facilitator’s time, venue costs, and staffing—ensuring we can continue offering these invaluable conversations to a broad and accessible audience. If you’re able, we kindly suggest a minimum donation of £5 to support the sustainability of these events.

About The Speaker

A former scholar at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Swedish-born Karin went on to have a successful international career as an opera singer. In 2009, she established NW8-mums connecting parents in the local community. Since then, she has worked in partnership with many parenting experts, from paediatricians to psychotherapists, to support parents with their children’s development as well as helping parents with their own parenting journeys. She is actively involved in promoting education and resources about menopause and perimenopause following her own perimenopausal journey. She has started a virtual menopause community and was chosen to be involved in a prestigious joint UCL and UCLH project to develop a national menopause outreach and education programme.
